So many times I’m looking for something to hold the candy! And the only time that I bring out the good crystal, by the way, I shouldn’t wait until special occasions, is around the holidays or when guests come to visit, and even then I’m a wreck I’m just waiting for my kids to throw their toys across the way and crash into it!
BUT I think I have found a way…found this in Pinterest and
absolutely love this idea that we had to share. Just take a look at the picture. And as they say a picture says a thousand words, I don’t even think you would need for me to tell you how to make it, looks that easy!

Have you ever sat down and watched the show “How did they do that?” I think that’s the title, I can’t even find
the time to barely sit down and watch TV, yet alone to get the name somewhat correct! Now that Easter is fast approaching and my girls are getting older, catching the Easter Bunny in the act of hiding eggs, and candy is getting to be a bit challenging. Especially when they see all the commercials, talk with friends and hear through their grapevine, as to how the Easter Bunny can really do all those great things! So a question comes to me, “Mom, if the Easter Bunny delivers the candy who makes it?” ….this year I have the answer….”SOUTHWEST CANDY”…they have all sorts of great candies for him to pick through, Chocolates, Hard Candies, lollipops, mints, and even jellybeans!
Wonder how that will sit with them?

Well here comes Peter, and with his bunny tracks of candy wonder what will be left behind. Have you seen our collections lately? Palmers Chocolates seem to be the favorites this year, along with the old traditions of pink
jolly pops, Hershey’s chocolates, and Reese’s peanut butter eggs.
We have used some of our other Easter Candy’s to decorate your favorite Candy jars as well:
2lbs of the Blue Sixlets, 1lb of the Pink Sixlets ,1.5 of the purple and we used.5lb of the green sixlets, Then blooming from the candies are 25 Twinkle Pops.
But then again, shouldn’t I let Peter bring all of this for me? If I do that, I would be adding to my “Honey Do” list and it might not get done!!!

How exciting one of our clients Color Me Mine, inBoulder Colorado, is celebrating Easter in a very colorful and fun way! We love hearing all about how our customers reach out and use our candies! These wonderful rainbow pops will be a great give away for their customers and light up their world! Sounds like in the morning they will be holding an Easter Pancake breakfast. But lets not forget the Easter Candy, Palmer Eggs, and the Key LimeDrops…

Brilliant! Need a last minute gift idea for Easter? Perhaps Mother's Day? This could be a very original communion or confirmation gift as well…..
The Jelly Bean Candy Candle! Thanks to Suite 101, here is a fun way to use your jelly beans…be sure to visit our Jelly Belly Jelly Bean page before you dive into this recipe.
Materials you will need to make one or more candles:
- Clear candle wax
- Old pan and can
- Metal gelatin molds
- Awl
- Custard cup
- Small white birthday candles
- Small-assorted colored jellybeans
- Break the wax into very small pieces, place wax in the can, and then place the can in the pan. Fill the pan halfway with water, and then place it on the stove to heat the wax. When the wax is just melted, reduce the heat. Never use the microwave to heat wax!
- Using the awl, puncture a small hole in the top of the mold, and then invert the mold into the custard cup to keep it level. Place a birthday candle upside down into the hole of the mold, this is the candlewick.
- Place a few jellybeans into the bottom of the mold, and then pour a little wax into the mold. Continue adding jelly beans and wax until the mold is full. Allow the wax to cool completely before turning the mold over to release the candle.

Looking for ideas to create a fabulous Easter basket? Try some of these:
Kids Easter Baskets…..
Stuffed Animal as the center- Bunny, Chick, Duck, Lamb, or even a Teddy.
Activity- Coloring Book, Crayons, Bubbles, and Story Book
Candy- Hershey Spring Chocolates, Jelly Belly Jelly Beans, Pink Lollipops, and Marshmallow Peeps
Decor- For a girl, hair accessories, play jewelry, and throw a boa in for fun. For a boy, cars, trucks, trains, and a pirate sword to complete the look.
Now shrink wrap it up and seal it with a kiss!
The Adult Easter Basket….
Center piece- spa gift with pamphlet, a couple of beer bottles, a wine or champagne bottle, or perhaps a new clutch or a new tool.
Activity- wine glasses, beer mugs, nails for a hammer, screws for a screw driver, tickets to the movies, or maybe an eye mask and towel head wrap for the spa gift.
