So many times I’m looking for something to hold the candy! And the only time that I bring out the good crystal, by the way, I shouldn’t wait until special occasions, is around the holidays or when guests come to visit, and even then I’m a wreck I’m just waiting for my kids to throw their toys across the way and crash into it!
BUT I think I have found a way…found this in Pinterest and
absolutely love this idea that we had to share. Just take a look at the picture. And as they say a picture says a thousand words, I don’t even think you would need for me to tell you how to make it, looks that easy!

We just received a great pic from one of our customers who purchased a fun candy Whirly pops. She had so much fun celebrating her daughters first birthday! Yet another idea I wish I had thought of first! My niece's went to a great party where they used Christmas ornaments kinda like Easter Eggs. The hosts hid ornaments all over the front and back yard and let the kids run wild looking for them! Some of the ornaments were huge and some smaller, but all had great colors and will be a spectacular addition to any holiday decor!
Don't forget about candy as a little added reward when the kiddos find the ornaments! Southwest Candy still has a wonderful variety of festive candy for your event!

Yes, we are expanding our candy assortment to create Time Warp Candy Boxes themed from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Yes, we are brilliant, but try not to tell us too often b/c our heads get really big!

Who says lip gloss is just for putting some shine on your lips?? I was given the most DELICIOUS lip gloss made by Philosophy! It's called Carrot Cake and smells just like homemade Carrot Cake! It goes on smooth and isn't sticky! I just looked at their newest line of gloss and it reminded me of the candy business! They have great flavors like Bubble Gum, Raspberry Sorbet,Coconut Frosting, Vanilla Birthday Cake! Could it get any better than that!! We are going to start carrying individual color Whirly Pops:
red and white, pink and white, and blue and white. But what do you all think about black and white? These lollipops are 3inches in diameter and come on a long, thick, white stick- so great for candy bouquets and party favors!
  
You can wrap each with cellophane, and plop a round, white sticker on the front to personalize each of them for a party or fundraiser event.

Brilliant! Need a last minute gift idea for Easter? Perhaps Mother's Day? This could be a very original communion or confirmation gift as well…..
The Jelly Bean Candy Candle! Thanks to Suite 101, here is a fun way to use your jelly beans…be sure to visit our Jelly Belly Jelly Bean page before you dive into this recipe.
Materials you will need to make one or more candles:
- Clear candle wax
- Old pan and can
- Metal gelatin molds
- Awl
- Custard cup
- Small white birthday candles
- Small-assorted colored jellybeans
- Break the wax into very small pieces, place wax in the can, and then place the can in the pan. Fill the pan halfway with water, and then place it on the stove to heat the wax. When the wax is just melted, reduce the heat. Never use the microwave to heat wax!
- Using the awl, puncture a small hole in the top of the mold, and then invert the mold into the custard cup to keep it level. Place a birthday candle upside down into the hole of the mold, this is the candlewick.
- Place a few jellybeans into the bottom of the mold, and then pour a little wax into the mold. Continue adding jelly beans and wax until the mold is full. Allow the wax to cool completely before turning the mold over to release the candle.
