Relaxing in Cancun last week all my troubles faded away! Ahhh! And then on my way home in the Cancun airport, as I said good bye to the sun and fun, I made my way through the Duty Free section at the airport! I forgot how much fun that can be! And then I stumbled across something that made me smile! Of course! Chupa Chups! They are one of our biggest sellers and there they were, right in the middle of Duty Free! A huge display with HUGE Chupa Chups! They were as big as my head! They had huge containers full of the fruity creamy yummy lollipops! So fantastic! How great for a party! The ideas are endless!

Now it is not often, but sometimes I am wrong and have to say "I'm Sorry!" to my husband. I discovered that candy is an amazing way to do it! I remembered one time my husband said how much he LOVES Bit-O-Honey so I grabbed him a little baggy full and brought them home the other day. All I had to do was place the baggy in front of him and all was right in the world again! Here are a couple of other ways to say "I'm Sorry" with candy!

On Halloween in Des Moines, Iowa, you can't just ring a doorbell and expect to get candy like at most homes across the United States. You have to EARN it- with a joke. That's right! Des Moines has hosted this tradition of "Beggar's Night" (the night before Halloween) for many years, and it was originally started to prevent vandalism on Halloween night. Well it stuck. So now children in the city as well as the suburbs trek around town in their finest of costumes on October 30th and go door to door telling jokes to get their candy. What a neat place the good ol' Midwest is!
