I just had a teacher from a school call who ordered several cases of our Peppermint Starlight candies. We got to chatting and she told me that there are studies which state that Peppermint can help students imrove their test scores. So they give each student a peppermint to enjoy during testing!
After hearing her story I decided to check this theory out for myself! There are several articles online in regards to this issue. And most do say that peppermint candy, peppermint oil or just the smell of peppermint can boost memory, focus and concentration. Sounds good to me!

It’s almost time for another 3 day weekend! Ahhh! We love that! It also means it’s time for you to get candy together for your local parade or business to show your Labor Day spirit! Although Labor Day seems to be pretty self explanatory, I did a little research to see when we began to celebrate all the hard work men and women do throughout the year. This is what I found!
“Labor Day is a day set aside to pay tribute to working men and women. It has been celebrated as a national holiday in the United States and Canada since 1894. The first Labor Day parade occurred Sept. 5, 1882, in New York City. The workers’ unions chose the first Monday in September because it was halfway between Independence Day and Thanksgiving. The idea spread across the country, and some states designated Labor Day as a holiday before the federal holiday was created.”
