Now that Easter has come and gone spring is in the air and summer around the corner! Parade season is upon us and we all know what that means- FREE CANDY!
So for all the corporations, clubs and organizations, politicians, and state departments YOO HOO!! Come and check out our parade candy page to get ahead of the game and get your candy orders in!
Now for all you candy addicts out there- I found some hysterical, but useful, tips on how to get more candy while you are at parades this year from WikiHow:
- Position yourself at the beginning of the parade. Typically more candy is thrown out when the floats first start. Once the float riders realize they are running out of candy, the amount thrown dwindles!
- Always wave. This is parade jargon for "Throw me candy!"
- Hold out an open bag- it is human nature to want to make a basket! Especially if there is an NBA float turning the corner!
- Cute children are a sure thing! Toddlers typically have a natural zest for luring in candy from anyone who has it to give.
- Look for politicians. The name of the game is aiming to please and if you are giving them the "thumbs up" you could be looking at a handful coming right at cha!
- A child with a broken arm or leg is a sure-fire target for candy! Position them directly in front of you and the candy will follow.
- Avoid displaying a grossly overstuffed or over-sized bag of candy- gluttony is frowned upon.
- Avoid hanging out with kids who are in junior high or older- they don't get as much candy. If you are that age, try to look immature. (this was my favorite tip LOL)
- DO hang out with attractive women! The men on floats want their attention and the women on floats want to over-feed them to make them ugly!
- Last, but not least, do NOT trample children in your excitement, do NOT run in front of any vehicles in the parade, and do NOT step in the horse manure.
Stay tuned! We will have an informative video on our parade candy to help you make a great candy purchase.
Happy Parade Season from Sweet Services and Southwest Candy!
