Looking for a unique candy to advertise your company, use for an election, or perhaps give out to guests as a party favor? This is a neat idea- the Giant Pixy Stick. A super large straw filled with candy powder is what every child dreams about- trust me, I watched my nephew devour one in minutes.
With a variety of flavors: Grape, Maui Punch, Cherry, or Orange, and standing tall at 21-inches tall, you will definitely make an impression on your audience.
100 stix is only $34.90- which means each stick costs you only $.34!
So campaign for office, market your company, or thank a party guest and watch their eyes light up as you hand them their Giant Pixy Stick!

He was the first representative from Tennessee to enter the House of Representatives, and he was proclaimed a war hero when he defeated the British at New Orlreans in 1812.
Elected by popular vote into office, Andrew Jackson wanted to represent the common man. He was the founder of the Democratic Party. One of his first decrees was to get rid of the Electoral College! (I guess that didn't work out)
Jackson was a man of his own decisions. He often did not defer to Congress in creating new policies, but used his power of veto to enforce command.
Jackson and his Vice President, John C. Calhoun, had difficulty seeing eye to eye on high tariffs. Calhoun fought to nullify the tariffs with the threat of being hanged by Jackson for doing so. Jackson replaced Calhoun with Martin Van Buren in January 1832.
"Old Hickory" as they call him, earned his nickname due to his harsh discipline with his troops during the war of 1812.
Let's award this "tough nut" with the Werther's Butter Toffee HARD Candy!

Donned "Old Man Eloquent" John Quincy Adams was the first president who was the son of a president. After graduating from Harvard and becoming a lawyer, he became Minister to the Netherlands, and then later Minister to Russia. Under President Monroe, he was named Secretary of State when he co-wrote the Monroe Doctrine.
During his presidential term, he worked to create highways and canals to bring all sections of the United States together. He was the first president to be photographed, and even after his presidency, John Quincy Adams still remained an active member of Congress for 18 years. He fought against slavery for many years and served as co-counsel on the Amistad case.
This accomplished linguist is described as "One of America's great Secretaries of State". He shall be labled as the York Peppermint Patty – one of America's greatest pieces of chocolate!

It is that time again. The war is on and it is down right dirty. McCain and Palin vs. Obama and Biden. Do I dare label them with a type of candy? Perhaps YOU all should write in with your comments and give me some ideas! LOL!
The truth of it is, both parties need to stick to the issues and stop the back and forth badgering.
Liberals are on the edge of their seats hoping for a takeover in the White House, and Republicans are have just realized that Sarah Palin is their ticket to not pack their bags yet!
Here's a tip voters- rather than giving your energy to BASHING the candidate you DON'T want in office, try SUPPORTING the candidate you DO want in office! That is how the best team will win!
My suggestion would be to send something sweet to the voters! Order some bulk PATRIOTIC CANDY, distribute it in little baggies, and attach a note to it telling your fellow Americans why you are supporting right person for office!
And may the best party win!

Described as a "withered little apple-John" (he is actually on record as the shortest president at 5'4 tall), James Madison had many accomplishments througout his career in government. Popular not only from his own successes, but also from the "buxom" woman he married- Mrs. Dolley Madison. She was noted as "The Toast of Washington"!
Prior to his administration as President, "The Father of the Constitution" not only helped to sanction a large part of the Constitution, but he was also a contributor to the framework for the Bill of Rights! His leadership was responsible for the formation of the Republican Party, and once he did take office as President- Mr. Madison declared war on Britan in 1812- due to their "poor behavior" at sea!
Wow! James was a busy man I'd say!
He may be a little man, but he made a big mark on The United States- for that reason, we are awarding him with The Spi-C-Mint! Little candy, big flavor!

I just listened to Sarah Palin's speech this evening- and nothing describes it better than sophisticated, poised, and charismatic! Those who had doubts about her before should be more than reassured that she is ready to take on the Vice Presidency!
The GOP is is back in the game and ready to take on the democrats, and I have to say- I typically don't get political- I was extremely inspired and moved by her. And those who say, "her speech was written for her", well I'm sorry, but you cannot deliver a speech that well without having a hand in writing it!
Sarah Palin- YOU GO GIRL! We wish you all the sweet success in the world!
My good friend made an excellent point- regardless of who you are voting for, this is a great time in history to be a voter! An African American man and a woman going for the White House- this IS a great country full of opportunity!

The first President to live in the White House and our country's second President shares more than just similar nomenclature with his candy pairing.
The early Cadbury (Adams) company worked as pacifists during the World War just as the "Father of the Navy" helped dissolve the war between the British and the French, and he also helped negotiate the Treaty of Peace during the Revolutionary War.
His face colored red (per reflections of his father) as a Swedish Fish, and his manner described as "thoughtful and learned", John Adams also had a "Sour Patch" side to him. He disliked his office as a Vice President because he thought it was useless, and after fulfilling 4 years as President he was then overthrown by the Republicans due to his peace mission to France.
John Adams died on the 50th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

With all the scandalous news of political candidates (as well as those in office), it is fun to think about what kind of candy each of our leaders remind us of. On a weekly basis- for the next 43 weeks, I will be talking about each President who has ruled our country and how they can be represented by a particular candy! If you have any suggestions- don't forget to comment!!
