Good Friday has so many meanings for so many cultures. So on this
Good Friday we took it in another direction, only because it’s so quiet here,
and turned our candy into some fun groovy colors. Enjoy

Here’s the breakdown:

Big Jar

9 oz of white sixlets, 1.5lbs of green sixlets, 2lbs of pink
sixlets, 2lbsof yellow sixlets, .5lbs oz of purple sixlets, 1
lb of the mixed color chocolate sixlets. 7colorful whirly pops,

and 25 twinkle pops!

Small Jar

20oz of the mixed sweet tarts, .5lb of white sixlets, 1lb of yellow sixlets, 1.5lb of the purple sixlets, .5lb of pink sixlets, 1lb of green apple jelly beans, 15oz of the chocolate mixed sixlets, and topped with  11 Hershey kisses

So many times I’m looking for something to hold the candy! And the only time that I bring out the good crystal, by the way, I shouldn’t wait until special occasions, is around the holidays or when guests come to visit, and even then I’m a wreck I’m just waiting for my kids to throw their toys across the way and crash into it!

BUT I think I have found a way…found this in Pinterest and
absolutely love this idea that we had to share. Just take a look at the picture. And as they say a picture says a thousand words, I don’t even think you would need for me to tell you how to make it,  looks that easy!

Relaxing in Cancun last week all my troubles faded away!  Ahhh!  And then on my way home in the Cancun airport, as I said good bye to the sun and fun, I made my way through the Duty Free section at the airport!  I forgot how much fun that can be!  And then I stumbled across something that made me smile!  Of course!  Chupa Chups!  They are one of our biggest sellers and there they were, right in the middle of Duty Free!  A huge display with HUGE Chupa Chups!  They were as big as my head!  They had huge containers full of the fruity creamy yummy lollipops! So fantastic!  How great for a party!  The ideas are endless!

Who’s Your Candy!

I was on the phone with a friend the other day talking about the tooth fairy!  Now, my 7 year old is very upset because she has not even lost her first tooth yet, but I started thinking about what lies ahead!  I come from a family who’s tooth fairy is VERY CREATIVE!  One time my dad hung a fish from a chandelier with a dollar bill in its mouth!  How am I going to top that?  I have a lot to live up too!  Lucky I work here at Southwest Candy!

So many choices!  So many teeth!

Have you ever sat down and watched the show “How did they do that?” I think that’s the title, I can’t even find
the time to barely sit down and watch TV, yet alone to get the name somewhat correct! Now that Easter is fast approaching and my girls are getting older, catching the Easter Bunny in the act of hiding eggs, and candy is getting to be a bit challenging. Especially when they see all the commercials, talk with friends and hear through their grapevine, as to how the Easter Bunny can really do all those great things! So a question comes to me, “Mom, if the Easter Bunny delivers the candy who makes it?” ….this year I have the answer….”SOUTHWEST CANDY”…they have all sorts of great candies for him to pick through, Chocolates, Hard Candies, lollipops, mints, and even jellybeans!

 Wonder how that will sit with them?

Well here comes Peter, and with his bunny tracks of candy wonder what will be left behind. Have you seen our collections lately? Palmers Chocolates seem to be the favorites this year, along with the old traditions of pink
jolly pops, Hershey’s chocolates, and Reese’s peanut butter eggs.

We have used some of our other Easter Candy’s to decorate your favorite Candy jars as well:

2lbs of the Blue Sixlets,  1lb of the Pink Sixlets ,1.5 of the purple and we used.5lb  of the green sixlets, Then  blooming from the candies are 25 Twinkle Pops.

But then again, shouldn’t I let Peter bring all of this for me? If I do that, I would be adding to my “Honey Do”  list and it might not get done!!!

You are getting messages to the brain saying, “I am adorable. I am a good girl. Please take me out and show me off. I promise I will behave. You KNOW you want to get out of the house!”

You are suddenly taken over by these hypnotic messages. You round up the troops, call your husband to meet you at the restaurant, and BAM! You find yourself in a panic as the kids become restless, and those damn crayons and coloring pages are not entertaining anyone but the other customers who were hit in the back of the head with them.

Suddenly, you remember your secret weapon. You ordered from Southwest Candy, and you armed yourself with LOLLIPOPS!
